KING OF THE RING, Year 4

Match 1. Hurricane Helms vs. Chavo Guerrero   WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Helms took Chavo down with a headlock take down and then busted him open with a diving fist. Helms landed a swinging neck breaker and finished it with the Eye of the Hurricane.

Match 2. DDP vs. Chris Benoit vs. Scott Hall   WWE Intercontinental Championship
Should DDP just tank this match in order to be ready for Lesnar? Benoit and Hall hit DDP with a double DDT. DDP hit Benoit with a sit-out powerbomb. Hall hit DDP with the Outsider's Edge. Benoit locked DDP in the crossface. DDP clotheslined Hall. Benoit clotheslined DDP and won.

Match 3. RVD and Booker T vs. Christian and Chris Jericho
Jericho busted Booker open when he slammed his head against the steel post. Jericho then locked him in the Walls of Jericho. RVD broke it up, and Booker speared Jericho through the barricade. Jericho hit Booker with the Codebreaker. RVD hit Jericho with a rolling senton. Christian snuck up behind RVD and hit the Unprettier to win.

Match 4.King of the Ring finals - Diamond Dallas Page vs. Brock Lesnar
The winner receives a WWE title shot at SummerSlam. DDP reversed some of Lesnar's attacks into tilt-a-whirl side slams. Lesnar landed the triple powerbomb and then connected with a Shooting Star Press. After a huge belly-to-belly and fall away slam, Lesnar hit the F5 to win.

Match 5. Mark Henry vs. Val Venis   WWE United States Championship
Val landed a double underhook suplex and tiger bomb. He continued with a neck breaker and DDT. Henry shook it all off and hit the World's Strongest Slam to retain the title.

Match 6. Brothers of Destruction vs. Triple H and Ric Flair   WWE Tag Team Championship
This is probably my favorite match on the card. Taker hit Flair with a Last Ride on the outside. Kane attempted a chokeslam on Flair, but he reversed it into a DDT. Triple H came in and hit Kane with a clothesline and back breaker. Kane made the hot tag to Taker, who hit the Tombstone and won.

Main Event. Iron Man - Kevin Nash vs. Hulk Hogan   WWE Undisputed Championship
Because Triple H challenged for the tag titles, he has been replaced. Can Hogan last 15 minutes? Six minutes passed and the score was still 0-0. Hogan hit the body slam and leg drop, but Nash kicked out at one. Hogan connected with a superplex. Nash came back with two belly-to-belly suplexes. Hogan busted Nash open with a right hand and then hit the big boot. He then hit another leg drop to take a 1-0 lead with four minutes left. Nash attempted a lot of pins, but Hogan kept kicking out at one. Nash hit the Jackknife to tie the score. With 30 seconds left, Hogan hit another big boot to take a 2-1 lead. He took a 3-1 lead after a third leg drop and no time left.

Recap: Edge now has 11 months to cash in the briefcase since he won it last month. Dammit. I wanted Flair and Triple H to win, but it was a great match. Hogan is once again WWE champion!
