June Week 1, Year 4

There was a huge trade that went down after Judgment Day. Brock Lesnar, Undertaker and Hulk Hogan went to SmackDown. Raw received RVD, Eddie Guerrero and Booker T. Lance Storm has been released.

The King of the Ring will begin this week as well. 8 Raw and 8 SmackDown Superstars will compete.

Raw

Match 1. KotR Round 1 - Christian vs. DDP

Match 2. Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards vs. Natural Born Thrillers

Match 3. Kevin Nash vs. Booker T w/ RVD

Nash hit a back suplex and a knockout punch. Booker came back with a spine buster. Nash landed the Jackknife. Nash brought in a chair and busted Booker open. Booker landed the scissors kick and got the win. Booker T pinned the new champ.

Match 4. KotR Round 1 - Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho

Jericho landed a neck breaker and locked in the Walls of Jericho. Jericho later broke out of a rear naked choke and hit the Codebreaker. Benoit locked in the crossface and later won after a shoulder tackle.

Main Event. Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H

The former members of DX go one-on-one. Triple H is looking to send a message to Nash. Michaels landed a neck breaker and atomic drop. Triple H halted the attacked with a couple of back body drops. Michaels hit the Sweet Chin Music. Triple H blocked a kick and hit the Pedigree to win.

SmackDown

Match 1. KotR Round 1 - Edge vs. Randy Orton
Orton had Edge in a camel clutch. Edge broke free and hit the Edge-O-Matic. Orton busted Edge open with a Lou Thesz Press. Edge went on a fury with a neck breaker and flapjack. Orton, out of nowhere, hit the RKO. Edge hit a superplex and won.

Match 2. Dudley Boyz vs. Natural Born Thrillers

Match 3. Billy Gunn vs. Val Venis   #1 Contender's match

Match 4. Hulk Hogan vs. Matt Morgan

What a debut for this rookie. Man, this guy his huge. Morgan low blowed Hogan and landed a huge clothesline. After a side slam, Morgan hit a huge bicycle kick. After receiving a superplex, Hogan came back huge with a big boot, body slam and the leg drop. Hogan hit another body slam and won. No shame in losing to the best, Morgan.

Main Event. Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle

Lesnar landed about five or six hard, fast punches which busted Angle open. Angle came back with a huge Angle Slam. Angle went for a pin, but Lesnar kicked out at 2.9. Angle hit a second Angle Slam to win.

Recap: Booker got a big win over the champ. Man, Val jumped up huge into the US title picture. Both shows are looking strong with a deep main event and mid-card picture. It's tough to get guys like Rock, Austin and Taker on the show.
