VENGEANCE, Year 2

My next surprise will be unveiled after the pay-per-view.

Match 1. Chris Jericho vs. Billy Gunn   WWF Intercontinental Championship
Gunn threw Jericho into the corner. Gunn ran towards him, but Jericho put up his knee and put him in the corner. He went for a grapple, but Gunn took him down with an STO. Jericho caught him in a roll-up, which began a pinning battle. Jericho landed a swinging neck breaker to retain the title.

Match 2. Trish Stratus vs. Lita   WWF Women's Championship
Trish landed a super back suplex and a hurricanrana. Lita came back as she slapped Trish and hit a northern lights suplex. She then caught Trish's leg and hit the Twist of Fate and won the Women's title.

Match 3. Money in the Bank - Benoit vs. Angle vs. Rock vs. Austin vs. Triple H vs. Big Show
Although this concept wasn't around during the Attitude Era, I like the match and its participants. This can be a long, brutal match. Rock and Triple H were the only ones in the ring. Triple H tossed Rock over his head, onto a ladder. Austin and Rock were the first to climb the ladder, but Triple H knocked them down. Benoit and Show were on the ladder. Benoit landed a sunset flip from the top and landed on Rock. Austin set up the ladder and pulled down the briefcase. This lasted 4:11. Wow.

Match 4. Brian Pillman vs. Val Venis vs. Goldust   WWF European Championship
Val busted Goldust open with some left hands. Outside the ring, Val DDT'd Pillman and busted him open. Goldust speared Pillman through the barricade. Pillman hit Val with a spine buster. Val went for the Big Package suplex, but Pillman blocked it. Pillman hit Goldust with a bulldog and won. Pillman does not want to lose this title. Maybe he knows he'll be released when he does...

Match 5. Edge and Christian vs. Brothers of Destruction   WWF Tag Team Championship
Undertaker has been feuding with this team for a while. Edge hit Taker with the Downward Spiral. Edge and Christian landed a double flapjack on Kane. Edge then hit Kane with an Edge-O-Matic and a gut buster. Kane speared Edge through the barricade, but neither man was able to make it back into the ring. Edge and Christian retain.

Match 6. Eddie Guerrero vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Big Boss Man
An interesting mix of three Superstars. X-Pac walked down with a chair. Mankind walked down right after. Pac entered the ring and attacked Eddie and then hit Michaels with the X-Factor. Michaels and Eddie were bloody messes. Boss Man landed the swinging side slam on Eddie and got a long two count. Eddie and Boss Man were going at it when Michaels hit Eddie with the Sweet Chin Music to win.

Main Event. Hell in a Cell - Mankind vs. Kane   WWF Championship
Will Austin cash in his briefcase already? Nope. The cell was a last-minute addition. Mankind drove Kane through of the cell panel and made it outside the cell. Mankind climbed up to the top and Kane followed. Mankind then kicked Kane in the gut and tossed him from the top through the announce table. Kane got right up and went back to the top. I'm waiting to see someone go through the ceiling. Mankind hit Kane with a sidewalk slam, which dented the roof. Mankind almost sent Kane to the floor again, but Kane ducked and chokeslammed him all the way to the floor. Oh my God!

Kane wanted to go back into the ring, but Mankind climbed to the top again. Kane chokeslammed him again! This is insane! A couple of minutes later, Kane hit a third chokeslam. Mankind is still getting up. How?  They fought for a little on the ground, but Kane went back up again and landed a FOURTH chokeslam from the top. Mankind made it back to the top and used Mr. Socko. Mankind then tossed Kane from the top onto the remains of the announce table. Mankind then climbed down and hit the double-arm DDT. Back in the ring, Mankind used Mr. Socko again and won.

Recap: That was a well-needed win for Michaels. That was the best Hell in a Cell match I've seen in Universe Mode. I can't believe Mankind kept getting up. He is hardcore!
