July Week 4, Year 2

Kane will face Mankind for the WWF Championship on Sunday. The midcard is flourishing.

Raw
Match 1. Lita and Trish vs. Molly Holly and Victoria
Molly and Lita fought for the first few minutes. Lita broke away and hit Victoria with the Twist of Fate on the announce table. Victoria somehow got up and landed a flying head scissors on both of her opponents. Victoria then hit a sit-out face buster on Trish. Molly and Trish fought outside the ring. Molly threw Trish into the railing and got back in the ring to beat the 10 count and win.

Match 2. Big Boss Man vs. Shawn Michaels
Can Shawn beat Boss Man? Boss Man beat Michaels in the ring last week, so he went to the outside this week. Boss Man landed his finishing spinning slam, but got a two count. Michaels tried using the steps to come back, but Boss Man countered with an uppercut. Boss Man landed a running powerslam and a sidewalk slam. Back in the ring, Michaels landed a scoop slam and an elbow drop. He went for a springboard crossbody, but Boss Man caught him and hit a spine buster to win.

Match 3. Table - Val Venis vs. Road Dogg
What else does Road Dogg have to prove? Both men attempted to put the other through a table, but they crashed and burned. There were table pieces all over the ring. Val busted Road Dogg open with a drop toe hold. Road Dogg returned the favor with a DDT on the ramp. Val put Dogg on the table and landed an elbow drop to put him through it.

Match 4. Too Cool vs. Brothers of Destruction   #1 Contender's Match
I think the Kane loss made this match happen. Too Cool put up a huge fight. Undertaker hit GMS with Old School. He then hit the Tombstone, but he kicked out. Both teams utilized tag moves to wear down their opponents. Kane busted GMS open with a running DDT. Kane then hit him with a Tombstone of his own to win.

Main Event. Billy Gunn vs. Edge vs. Test vs. Ken Shamrock   #1 Contender's Match
Jericho probably set this up to avoid Edge. All four men left the ring after a few minutes. Edge put Gunn on the table. By the time he climbed the ropes, Gunn was off, but Edge still jumped and crashed. They all went back into the ring. Gunn landed a tilt-a-whirl slam. Edge came back and locked Gunn in the Edgecator. Shamrock locked Test in a sleeper hold, but both men escaped. Gunn hit Edge with the Fame-Asser, busted him open and won.

Saturday Night Heat
Match 1. Stevie Richards vs. D-Von Dudley

Match 2. Molly Holly vs. Stephanie McMahon

Match 3. Grand Master Sexay vs. Gangrel

Match 4. Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Matt Hardy

Main Event. Kurt Angle vs. Triple H

Recap: Kane vs. Mankind, Billy Gunn vs. Chris Jericho and the Brothers of Destruction vs. Edge & Christian. So far, so good.
