September Week 1, Year 5

Raw
Match 1Zack Ryder vs. William Regal

Match 2. Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy vs. Rhodes and DiBiase
Rey placed DiBiase on the announce table. He then climbed the ropes and landed a huge moonsault. Back in the ring, Ted hit Rey with Dream Street. Outside the ring, Rey and Matt hit Rhodes with a Russian leg sweep/STO combo. Matt hit Cody with the Side Effect. He and Rey landed Poetry in Motion. Rey ended it with a 619 and West Coast Pop.

Match 3. Sheamus vs. Edge
Edge took the World title with him to SmackDown only to lose it to Henry and then came back to Raw. Sheamus landed a fall away slam. Edge got up and hit the Edge-O-Matic. Sheamus came back with an overhead belly-to-belly. Sheamus ended the match with an Irish Curse and three count.

Match 4. Submission - Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels
Michaels landed a back elbow and locked in the Sharpshooter. Jericho speared Michaels through the barricade. He brought him back into the ring where he hit a suplex and a powerbomb. Michaels landed a springboard splash and a piledriver before connecting with the Sweet Chin Music. Michaels then made Jericho tap from a camel clutch.

After the match, Triple H ran down to celebrate with his friend.

Main Event. John Cena vs. Triple H
During the match, someone ran down and slammed both Cena and Triple H onto the mat. Wait! That's Wade Barrett. He just ruined the main event. Why?

SmackDown
Match 1. MVP vs. Christian

Match 2. Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger vs. Miz and Morrison
Two heel tag teams battling it out to see who challenges the babyface champions. Miz and Morrison hit Ziggler with a double hip toss. Swagger and Ziggler came back with a double back body drop on Morrison. Later, Miz DDT'd Swagger through the announce table. Miz then hit the Skull Crushing Finale to win.

Match 3. JBL vs. Randy Orton

Match 4. Booker T and Jeff Hardy vs. Mark Henry and CM Punk
Is Jeff looking to separate himself from his brother? Jeff was dealing with both Henry and Punk on their side of the ring. Jeff was able to tag in Booker, but he also fell victim of the double team. Jeff put Henry through the announce table with a Twist of Fate. Henry came back and made Jeff tap from a bearhug.

Main Event. Kurt Angle vs. Kofi Kingston w/ R-Truth
An interesting main event to say the least. Kofi used his speed to take down Angle with a flying forearm. They each caught the other in a small package, but only got a one count. Angle blocked a punch and hit the Angle Slam. He then hit a second Angle Slam about 20 seconds later to win.

Recap: That was a great tag match on Raw. The submission match was great, too. SmackDown was decent. Nothing stood out.
