Neither man was able to build momentum early. They knew what each other was doing. Edge landed a neck breaker. Jericho got up and ran towards Edge, but he countered into a flapjack. After a snapmare, he locked in the Edgecator. A minute later, he won after a back suplex.

Match 3. Lita vs. Molly Holly #1 Contender's Match
Molly had Lita against the ropes. She broke out and elbowed her in the back. Lita then lifted her up and landed a vicious powerbomb. Molly hit Lita with an arm breaker. Lita came back and hit the Twist of Fate. Molly landed a tornado DDT. Lita got right up and hit a clothesline to win.
Match 4. Raven vs. Jeff Hardy
Before the match got underway, Jeff went to clothesline Raven but he ducked and the referee was hit. Someone ran down. Wait, that's not just anyone. That's RHYNO! What? He ran in the ring and Gored Jeff and Raven got the win.
Main Event. Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle #1 Contender's Match
Neither man was able to get the upper hand in the early going. Angle landed a hip toss, but Benoit came back with a clothesline. Angle took him down with a Russian leg sweep and went for a moonsault, but Benoit moved. Angle recovered and connected with an Angle Slam to become the No. 1 Contender.

Match 1. Tazz vs. Matt Hardy vs. Grand Master Sexay
Tazz hit GMS with a hip toss. They then teamed up and hit Matt with a double gut buster. GMS broke out

of a camel clutch and hit Tazz with a delayed brain buster. Matt got involved as he hit GMS with a Russian leg sweep. Tazz picked up up and landed a sit-out powerbomb. Tazz left the ring to grab the steps which gave Matt enough time to roll GMS up and get the three count.
Match 2. Molly Holly vs. Stephanie McMahon
Match 3. Rikishi vs. Mark Henry
The World's Strongest Man and the dancing Samoan butt heads. Who will budge? Mark Henry landed a knee smash and a tilt-a-whirl slam. He then ran towards Rikishi as he was getting up and hit a clothesline. Rikishi mounted some offense. Henry hit a low blow and locked him in a bear hug. Rikishi came back with a belly-to-belly and the Rikishi Driver for the win. Is this what will happen at Survivor Series?
Match 4. Raven vs. Scotty 2 Hotty
Main Event.
Triple H and Undertaker started the match. Triple H stomped on the right arm of Taker and then flipped him over his head. He then tagged in Jericho and landed a tag team move. Undertaker brought him to his corner as he tagged in Kane. The three of them fought on the outside. Kane tossed Jericho into the steps. Undertaker was taking care of Jericho outside the ring, preventing him from answering the referee's 10 count.
