KING OF THE RING, Year 2

The semifinals and finals of the King of the Ring will take place tonight. Undertaker/Triple H and Edge could fight three times.

Match 1. KOTR Semifinals - Kane vs. Edge
Edge took down Kane with a chop block, but Kane landed a tilt-a-whirl slam. Edge landed a nice suplex and a Downward Spiral. A little later, Kane hit a sidewalk slam. Edge got up and locked in the Edgecator. Kane broke out and hit the chokeslam to win.

Match 2. KOTR Semifinals - Undertaker vs. Triple H
Let's hope this won't affect their partnership. Kurt Angle ran down and hit Taker with an Angle Slam on the outside. Taker got up and hit Triple H with a Last Ride. Back in the ring, Triple H hit the Pedigree, but got a two count. Taker Tombstoned Triple H through the announce table. Triple H busted Taker open with a few right hands. Triple H landed another Pedigree to win.

Match 3. Undertaker and Triple H vs. Edge and Christian   WWF Tag Team Championship
I'm actually rooting for E&C here. Taker blocked Christian's punch and hit a side slam. Triple H landed a spine buster on Edge. Edge and Christian hit Taker with a neck breaker/sidewalk slam. Christian then hit him with the Unprettier. Christian accidentally took out the ref with a flipping senton. E&C hit Triple H with a clothesline/spear combo. The ref got up and counted the three count.

Match 4. Trish Stratus vs. Lita   WWF Women's Championship
Lita had Trish in an arm drag, but Trish reversed it into a hurricanrana. After a jumping knee smash, Trish hit a clothesline. Lita got up and landed the Twist of Fate. A few minutes later, Lita caught Trish in a roll-up. Trish rolled her back over and won.

Match 5. Chris Jericho vs. Billy Gunn   WWF Intercontinental Championship
Gunn took Jericho down with a snapmare. He then landed a running power slam. Gunn then caught Jericho's leg and hit the Fame Asser. Jericho kicked out and blocked Gunn's punch. He dropped him down to the mat and locked in the Walls of Jericho. Gunn caught Jericho in a roll-up and there were some near falls. Jericho then hit Gunn in the face with an elbow and won.

Match 6. KOTR Finals - Kane vs. Triple H
The winner will receive a WWF title shot next month. Kane hit Triple H with a snapmare and a running boot to the face. Triple H returned the favor with a chop block and a spine buster. Kane got up, it a leg drop and Tombstone. Triple H kicked out. He landed a DDT and another spine buster. Kane caught Triple H's leg and landed a chokeslam to win.

Main Event. TLC - Chris Jericho vs. Mankind   WWF Championship
This could be a brutal match. Mankind bit Jericho's forehead and then hit him with a back suplex. They went outside the ring where Mankind landed the double-arm DDT. Jericho powerbombed Mankind through the announce table. Jericho set up a ladder and both men climbed up. Mankind tossed Jericho off and crashing on the mat. He was able to pull down the WWF Championship.

Recap: I'm happy E&C won the tag titles. Will Taker and Triple H continue their partnership? Anti-climactic ending to the IC title match. Kane will face Mankind for the WWF Championship.
