WRESTLEMANIA, Year 5

There were three inter-promotional matches, including a 6-man battle royal and a 6-man tag. Neither of the mid-card titles were on the line originally.

Match 1. Sheamus vs. Barrett vs. Rhodes vs. Swagger vs. Sandow vs. Rey Mysterio
Swagger quickly had Sheamus against the ropes, but he broke free. Rey hit Barrett with a nice hurricanrana. He then eliminated him. Sheamus and Swagger hit Sandow with a double suplex. Swagger then clotheslined Sandow over the top. Sheamus hit Rhodes with a big boot, which sent him over the ropes. Swagger thought he eliminated Rey, but Mysterio held on. Sheamus tried and was successful. Sheamus got the better of Swagger and hit him with a big boot for the final elimination.

Match 2. Christian vs. The Miz   WWE United States Championship
Miz came out like a man possessed. He landed a flying forearm and a DDT. Christian came back with a suplex and dropkick. Miz took Christian down with a neck breaker and landed two missile dropkicks. He then hit a forward DDT and Skull Crushing Finale. Christian kicked out, but Miz continued. He finished the match with another DDT and SCF to win the title.

Match 3. Boom Truth vs. Team Hell No   WWE Tag Team Championship
Can Kane and Daniel Bryan work together to win the titles? Kane and Bryan hit Kofi with a double back body drop. Kofi hit Bryan with a kick to the gut and a backhand chop. Kane was back in, but Kofi took him down with a leg sweep. Kane sat up and hit the Tombstone to win.

Match 4. Randy Orton vs. ???   World Heavyweight Championship
Undertaker forfeited his title shot because of his match with HBK. He will receive his title shot on the following SmackDown. Orton's new opponent is...Mark Henry. Henry tossed Orton into the ropes, but Orton countered and hit a jaw breaker. He then landed his signature back breaker. A few seconds later, Orton hit the RKO. Henry kicked out and locked Orton in a single-leg Boston Crab. Henry blocked a punch and hit the World's Strongest Slam. Orton broke out and hit some clotheslines and another back breaker before hitting a second RKO to retain the world title.

Match 5. Elimination - John Cena, Ryback and Triple H vs. CM Punk, Edge and Dolph Ziggler
This is a stacked match. Ziggler speared Ryback through one barricade. Triple H speared Punk through another. Cena hit Ziggler with an AA through the announce table. Punk locked Ryback in the Anaconda Vice on the outside. Cena hit Punk with an AA and eliminated him. Triple H hit Edge with the Pedigree and eliminated him. Ziggler was left alone to take on Ryback, Cena and Triple H. Cena hit Ziggler with a spinning powerbomb and got the win.

Match 6. Hell in a Cell - The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
I did not book this one. Taker caught Michaels with a bulldog and then picked him up for a chokeslam. Michaels sprung back to his feet, connected with a flying forearm, atomic drop and body slam. Taker kicked out and hit the Tombstone to win. It was over in less than seven minutes.

Main Event. Brock Lesnar vs. Batista   WWE Championship
A match between two, huge heels. Batista hit Lesnar with a tilt-a-whirl slam. Lesnar stomped on the right arm of Batista and then landed a release belly-to-back suplex. After getting a one count, Batista hit the Batista Bomb and got a long two count. Lesnar blocked a punch and hit the F5 to retain.

Recap: Pretty good 'Mania. The last two matches were under 10 minutes each.
