April Week 2, Year 6

It's a new day in my WWE Universe. There is a new show, NXT, featuring the developmental talent. I won't be watching any of their matches. The rosters are completely overhauled. There are at least 10 tag teams.

Raw

Match 1. Kane and Daniel Bryan vs. Darren Young and Titus O'Neil

Bryan locked Titus in the Yes Lock on the outside. The Prime Time Players then hit Bryan with a double suplex. Titus hit a huge spine buster. Kane finally came in and busted Titus open with a back elbow smash. He connected with the sidewalk slam and got the win.

Match 2. Brodus Clay vs. Tensai

Match 3. The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston vs. William Regal

Match 4. Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler w/ Big E. Langston

After a corner clothesline by Jericho, both men got some long, two counts. Jericho picked up a chair and hit Ziggler over the head. He then speared Ziggler through the barricade. Ziggler recovered and hit the Fame Asser. Back in the ring, Ziggler locked in the sleeper hold and won.

Main Event. John Cena vs. Ryback   #1 Contender's match

Lesnar attacked Cena from behind on his way to the ring. Ryback had Cena in the tree of woe and choked him with his boot. Cena came back with a shoulder tackle and hit the Five-Knuckle Shuffle. Ryback broke out of a submission and lifted Cena up for a body press slam. He then hit Shell Shock and got the win.

NXT

Match 1. Justin Gabriel vs. David Otunga

Match 2. Bray Wyatt vs. Fandango vs. Hunico

Match 3. Yoshi Tatsu and Santino Marella vs. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose

Match 4. Seth Rollins vs. Luke Harper

Main Event. Kassius Ohno vs. Eric Rowan

SmackDown

Match 1. Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre vs. The Usos

Match 2. Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show
Del Rio connected with a back breaker and a vertical suplex. He then lifted Show up for a sit-out powerbomb. Del Rio tossed Show into the ropes, but Show countered and landed a reverse powerbomb. He then placed Del Rio on the top rope and landed a super fall away slam to win.

Match 3. Rhodes Scholars vs. Brodus Clay and Tensai

Match 4. Christian vs. Wade Barrett   #1 Contender's match

Christian placed Barrett on the announce table and put him through with an elbow drop. Barrett recovered and hit Christian with the Winds of Change. Christian kicked out and hit a back suplex and reverse DDT. He then connected with the Killswitch to win.

After the match, Damien Sandow ran down and attacked Christian with a lead pipe.

Main Event. The Rock vs. Randy Orton vs. Sheamus

Finally, The Rock has returned to SmackDown. Orton and Sheamus hit Rock with a double Russian leg sweep. Sheamus took out Rock with a running forearm and then hit Orton with an Irish Curse. Orton busted Rock open with a Lou Thesz Press. Sheamus went to hit Rock with the Celtic Cross, but Orton broke it up. Rock hit Orton with a float-over DDT and won.

Recap: This was a great week with the new rosters and TV show. It's going to be a lot to keep track of.
