Here we go. It's good to see the former WCW stars getting big matches.
Pre-Show. Test vs. Raven vs. Dreamer vs. Rhyno vs. Richards WWF Hardcore Championship
This is a 20-minute scramble match. The first two who started were Rhyno and Dreamer. The next man to enter was Raven. Rhyno took a break as Raven and Dreamer fought. Raven hit Dreamer with the Raven Effect, but got a one count. Rhyno hit the Gore, but Raven broke up the pin. The fourth man in the ring was Test. He has 10 minutes to retain his title. Dreamer landed another DDT on Rhyno and got the first pin. He's the new champ, for now. Dreamer and Rhyno were bloody messes. Rhyno became champion after a huge spine buster. Stevie entered the match. He's the least beat down of the five. With 20 seconds left, Dreamer hit Rhyno with a bulldog and got the pin.
Match 1. Rob Van Dam vs. Diamond Dallas Page WWF Intercontinental Championship
RVD blocked a punch and connected with a super kick. He then hit the Van Terminator. DDP caught a charging Van Dam and hit a tilt-a-whirl slam. RVD landed a float-over DDT. RVD blocked another punch, landed a hurricanrana and turned it into a pin, but got a two. DDP countered the pin into one of his own and won.
Match 2. APA vs. Natural Born Thrillers WWF Tag Team Championship
Can O'Haire and Palumbo make it three title changes in a row? Nope. Both teams used tag moves to hurt their opponents more. O'Haire hit Faarooq with a huge super kick and torture rack slam. Palumbo landed a super hip toss and O'Haire hit the Widow Maker. Faarooq came back with a powerslam and Dominator. Bradshaw connected with a shoulder tackle and got the three count.
Match 3. William Regal vs. Goldust WWF European Championship
Goldust landed some suplexes and tosses in the early going. These two veterans have faced before and know each other pretty well. Regal landed a double underhook powerbomb. After blocking a suplex, Regal landed a double ax smash and retained the title.
Match 4. Kane vs. Scott Hall
Hall tossed Kane into the corner, but Kane walked out and hit a tilt-a-whirl slam. Hall had Kane in a couple of submissions, but he broke out and hit a chokeslam and Tombstone. A couple of minutes later, Kane landed the sidewalk slam and another chokeslam to win.
Match 5. Hell in a Cell - Undertaker vs. Kevin Nash
Taker powerbombed Nash through one of the cell panels. He then climbed to the top and Nash followed. Nash chokeslammed Taker from the top, down through the announce table. WHAT?! Nash busted Taker open when he slammed his head against the steel post. He then hit the Jackknife and won.
Match 6. The Rock vs. Hollywood Hogan
You know I couldn't resist having this match. Icon vs. Icon. How will Hogan do without Nash or Hall at his side? Hogan threw Rock into the corner and connected with a huge big boot. Rock locked Hogan in a Boston crab. Rock went for a Rock Bottom, but Hogan broke free. Hogan then busted him open with a back elbow. He finished Rock with a scoop slam and leg drop.
Main Event. Triple H vs. Eddie Guerrero WWF Undisputed Championship
This match was all Triple H. He lifted Eddie up and hung him out to dry over the top rope. He then hit the knee smash. Eddie landed a flying head scissors, but that would be it. Triple H hit the Pedigree and won. It didn't even go four minutes.
Recap: I am shocked Nash handled Taker the way he did. This was probably the best WrestleMania in both my WWE 12 and 13 universes.
