ROYAL RUMBLE, Year 2

There will be some surprises tonight.

Match 1. Extreme Rules - Rhyno vs. Stevie Richards vs. Jeff Hardy
Rhyno and Jeff will still participate in the Rumble match. Holy crap! This match took forever. There was a kendo stick, crutch, table, replica belt and steel steps used throughout the match. Rhyno hit Stevie with a sit-out spine buster. Stevie hit Rhyno with a superkick and Jeff went for the pin, but Rhyno kicked out. Stevie hit Jeff with a Codebreaker and won.

Match 2. Chris Jericho vs. Edge   WWF Intercontinental Championship
Edge hit Jericho with a snapmare and locked in the Edgecator about six minutes in. Jericho came back by reversing a flapjack into a DDT. He then took Edge down and locked in the Walls of Jericho. He then hit a brain buster to retain the title.

Match 3. Molly Holly vs. Lita   WWF Women's Championship
This was a nice 12-minute match. Molly landed a couple of hurricanranas. Lita came back with a Reverse of Fate. She then hit a huge powerbomb. Molly took back control with a face buster and won after a springboard bulldog.

Match 4. The Rock vs. Big Show
Rock tried multiple times to take Big Show off of his feet. He succeeded with a Samoan drop. He then connected with a Rock Bottom, but Show easily kicked out. Show came back with a huge spear and a Showstopper to pick up the win.

Match 5. Brothers of Destruction vs. The Dudley Boyz   WWF Tag Team Championship
This is a falls count anywhere match. This was a very quick match. Kane and Undertaker dominated The Dudleyz. Kane hit Bubba with a couple of side slams while Taker hit D-Von with Old School. Taker then hit Tombstone to win.

Match 6. Hell in a Cell - Mankind vs. Triple H   WWF Championship
Triple H slammed Mankind through one of the steel panels and they began fighting on the outside. They climbed to the top of the cell. Mankind then tossed Triple H off and sent him crashing on the floor. Triple H got up and returned the favor. This time, however, Mankind crashed through the announce table. Triple H then made it back to the floor and continued the punishment. Mankind hit the Mandible Claw. Back in the ring, Triple H hit the Pedigree and won the WWF title.

Main Event. 30-man Royal Rumble match
Who's dream will come true tonight? The first two Superstars were European champion Val Venis and X-Pac. They locked up immediately and Val hit a belly-to-belly suplex. Number 3 was Road Dogg. Pac eliminated Val. Road Dogg doesn't care about friendship as he went right after Pac. Number 4 was Tazz. The Human Suplex Machine will hurt some people. Pac hit him with a heel kick. Number 4 was The Godfather. Tazz hit Road Dogg with a full nelson suplex and a headbutt. Tazz then tossed Road Dogg over the top. Number 6 was Rikishi. Godfather almost eliminated Pac. Godfather kicked Pac off the apron and onto the floor. Number 7 was Faarooq. Godfather had Rikishi in the corner, but nothing happened. Number 8 was Justin Credible! What?! What's he doing here? He stood around a little before going after Godfather. Number 9 was Test. Godfather clotheslined Credible out of the ring. Test almost eliminated Rikishi, but he countered and made it back in. Number 10 was Eddie Guerrero. Godfather eliminated Tazz. Eddie hit Rikishi with a flying head scissors and busted him open.

Number 11 was Big Boss Man. There are some tough Superstars in the ring right now. Rikishi eliminated Eddie. Godfather's been in since number 5. Number 12 was Rhyno. Test kicked Godfather out of the ring and then tossed out Rikishi. Number 13 was Big Show. Oh my! Boss Man busted Faarooq open with a DDT and then eliminated him. Number 14 was Billy Gunn. Can Billy survive without his partner? He went after Rhyno. Number 15 was Bradshaw. He was quickly eliminated by Test. Gunn tossed Rhyno out of the ring. Boss Man hit Gunn with a huge back suplex. Number 16 was IC champ Chris Jericho. I wonder how beat up he is after his title match. Gunn eliminated Boss Man. Big Show tossed Test out to the floor. Number 17 was Edge. How convenient? Not for long as Gunn kicked Jericho in the face and eliminated him. Show then lifted Gunn up and tossed him out. Big Show and Edge were the only two in the ring. Number 8 was Kurt Angle. He stood by while Edge and Show battled. Number 19 was Matt Hardy. Angle took advantage of a battered Big Show. Matt almost eliminated Edge. Angle busted Show open with a DDT. Number 20 was Mark Henry. Here we go. Mark Henry and Big Show in the same ring. Is there enough support?

Number 21 was The Rock. Here come the big stars. Rock went right after Edge and almost tossed him out. Big Show and Henry traded blows. Rock kicked Edge off the apron. Rock then set his sights on Angle and eliminated him. Show tossed Matt out. Number 22 was the Hardcore champion Raven. Show and Rock hit Henry with a double chokeslam. Number 23 was Shawn Michaels. His pyro went off as he took his time to taunt. Michaels locked Raven in a Figure-Four leg lock. Show eliminated Henry. Number 24 was Stone Cold. Can Austin win the Rumble as the Money in the Bank holder? Big Show has been in since number 13. He eliminated Raven. Number 25 was Christian. Rock and Austin locked horns while Michaels and Big Show battled. Christian stood by and watched. Michaels almost eliminated Big Show. Christian dropkicked The Rock out of the ring.

Number 26 was Undertaker. He went right after Michaels and held him against the ropes. He then clotheslined him out of the ring. Number 27 was Kane. Will Kane and Undertaker work together? Undertaker eliminated Big Show with ease. Austin tossed Kane out to the floor. Number 28 was Chris Benoit. The Rabid Wolverine has an opportunity of a lifetime. Undertaker chokeslammed Austin out of the ring and onto the floor. Number 29 was Tommy Dreamer. The Innovator of Violence is in the house! He decided to go after Undertaker. Number 30 was Jeff Hardy. Can Jeff Hardy pull off the upset? Christian had Benoit up for a delayed suplex. Undertaker was having trouble with Dreamer. Benoit hit Jeff with a German suplex. Dreamer eliminated Christian. Undertaker kicked Benoit off the apron. Then there were three. Undertaker clotheslined Jeff out of the ring. It came down to Tommy Dreamer and The Undertaker. Undertaker landed a huge powerbomb. Taker had Dreamer in the corner and kicked him out of the ring. Undertaker wins!


Recap: Kane and Undertaker made quick work of The Dudleyz. Triple H is once again champion. I was so nervous that Tommy Dreamer was going to win. Thank God he didn't.
