JUDGMENT DAY, Year 1

This was a really good PPV card. Four title matches and two I Quit matches. This should be intense.

Match 1. Shane McMahon vs. British Bulldog   WWF European Championship
Shane hit a snap suplex and went for a pin, but Bulldog kicked out. Bulldog came back with a hanging suplex and the running powerslam. About four minutes later, Bulldog hit another suplex and power slam to win. British Bulldog brought the European Title home.

Match 2Edge and Christian vs. New Age Outlaws   WWF Tag Team Championship
This tag match went almost 17 minutes. Billy Gunn was busted open when Edge hit him with a flapjack. He then hit the Downward Spiral. Edge and Christian hit Gunn with a reverse DDT/back breaker combo. Christian ended the match with an Umprettier on Road Dogg.

Match 3. Iron Man - Shamrock vs. Droz   WWF Intercontinental Championship
An iron man match is an interesting stipulation for these two. I think Shamrock can outlast Droz. It is a 15-minute match. Shamrock got the first point after a belly-to-back suplex with 9:15 left. Shamrock scored the second point after a tiger suplex with 5:13 left in the match. Shamrock sealed the deal when he scored his third point after a heel kick with 2:49 left. Shamrock added insult to injury with a roll-up and scoring his fourth point.

Match 4. I Quit - Triple H vs. Undertaker
Triple H quickly locked Taker in a Figure Four, but Taker broke out. Triple H landed the Pedigree and had the ref check on Taker, but he was able to get up. Taker caught Triple H's leg and hit the Tombstone. The ref checked on The Game, but Triple H wouldn't quit. Triple H dove from the top rope, but Taker caught him and hit the Tombstone. Somehow, Triple H got up. Both men were bleeding heavily. After every move one Superstar would ask the other to quit, but no one gave up. Taker landed another Tombstone, which forced Triple H to quit.

Match 5. The Rock vs. Mankind vs. Kane
Rock hit Kane with a suplex and Mankind tried to get the win, but Kane kicked out at one. Kane hit Mankind with a Tombstone. Rock and Mankind landed a double gut buster on Kane. Rock hit Mankind with the Rock Bottom and won while Kane just watched.

Match 6. Eddie Guerrero vs. Chris Jericho
We saw the beginnings of this feud on Heat. These two spent a lot of time outside of the ring. When they got back in the ring, they engaged in a pinning battle. Eddie landed a brain buster, busting Jericho open, and got the win.

Main Event. I Quit - Shawn Michaels vs. Stone Cold   WWF Championship
The first I Quit match was entertaining. Can this one top it? Both men locked in submissions, but it was too early. Austin landed the Stunner, but HBK was not done. Austin hit another Stunner a few minutes later, but Michaels quickly got up. Austin flipped Michaels off, but HBK responded with a Sweet Chin Music. Awesome. Austin left the ring and brought in the steps. Michaels hit another super kick outside the ring. Both men were bleeding profusely. I think the next person to his a finisher will win. As soon as I finished that sentence, Michaels hit a third SCM, but Austin got up. Maybe I was wrong. Austin hit the Stunner and the ref was checking on Michaels, but Austin picked him up. Why?! After many minutes of back and forth action, Austin hit one final Stunner to win. We have a new WWF Champion! The match went over 38 minutes and it was well worth it.

Recap: The tag match was good. Both I Quit matches were excellent, especially the main event.
