SUMMERSLAM, Year 1

Some good title matches and non-title matches on this card.

Match 1. X-Pac vs. Brian Pillman
Pillman busted Pac open with a tornado DDT from the second rope. Pac recovered and landed the X-Factor and went for a pin, but Pillman kicked out. Pillman then began bleeding after a heel kick. After some back and forth action, Pac landed a super kick and won. This was a good way to kick off SummerSlam.

Match 2. Ken Shamrock vs. Test   WWF Intercontinental Championship
These two men pulled out all of the stops. Shamrock locked in a sleeper hold, but Test was able to break out. Test landed a pump handle slam, but Shamrock kicked out. Shamrock then began bleeding after Test connected with an elbow drop. Test landed a second pump handle slam to win.

Match 3. Kurt Angle vs. Kane
Neither man was able to build momentum to take the other man down. Kane found an opening when he landed a side slam, which led to a Tombstone. Angle left the ring to catch his breath. He then caught Kane in a roll-up, but only got a two count. Kane then landed a powerbomb. After another roll-up, Kane landed another sidewalk slam and a chokeslam to win.

Match 4. Eddie Guerrero vs. Chris Jericho
Eddie was in control in the early going. Jericho tried to mount some offense, but Eddie countered with a tilt-a-whirl slam. Eddie got a little vicious and speared Jericho through the barricade. Jericho brought in a chair to get even. He then locked in the Walls of Jericho. Eddie attempted a springboard senton, but missed. Jericho took advantage with a pin and won.

Match 5. Edge & Christian vs. New Age Outlaws   WWF Tag Team Championship
Here we go, again. This is the fifth time these two teams are facing each other. E&C hit Gunn with a double flapjack. Gunn recovered and hit Christian with a huge hip toss. Road Dogg was tagged in and landed the pump handle drop on Christian. After landing a jaw breaker, Christian was finally able to get Edge in with a spear/clothesline combo. Gunn ended the match with a tilt-a-whirl slam and a three count on Christian.

Match 6. Stone Cold vs. Triple H
Triple H landed a huge elbow drop that sent Austin crashing through the announce table. Austin somehow made it back into the ring. Triple H continued his offense with a spine buster. Austin left the ring, but Triple H followed. He connected with the Pedigree. Austin, again, got up and landed the Stunner to win.

Main Event. Undertaker vs. The Rock   WWF Championship
This is The Rock's rematch from last month. This time, there will be no special referee. Taker landed a neck breaker and then charged at The Rock. Rocky countered with a Samoan drop. He then picked Taker up and hit him with a Tombstone. Despite multiple shots to the back with a sledgehammer, Taker got up and landed a chokeslam. Rock came back with a back suplex and another Samoan drop. Taker DDT'd Rock through the announce table. Taker caught Rocky's leg and Tombstoned him to win.

Recap: Once again, tag team champions of the wooooooooorld, the New Age Outlaws. Wow, what a main event. Very close.
