Some big names missing from this card—Triple H, Mark Henry just to name a few.
Match 1. Chris Jericho vs. The Rock WCW Championship
The PPV kicks off with a big title match. Jericho countered The Rock into a neck breaker. Rock countered back with a Samoan drop. Jericho blocked a punch and locked in the Walls of Jericho. Rock broke free, landed another Samoan drop and locked in the Walls. Jericho broke out and won.
Match 2. Jeff Hardy vs. Edge vs. RVD vs. Mark Henry vs. Regal vs. Lance Storm
This is an over-the-top battle royal. Depending on the winner, they'll receive either a main or mid-card title shot. Henry almost eliminated RVD. Jeff dropkicked Storm out of the ring. Regal stood around while RVD/Jeff and Edge/Henry fought. RVD hurricanrana'd Regal out of the ring. Jeff dropkicked RVD out. Edge big booted Jeff out of the ring. Edge lifted Henry over his shoulder and tossed him out.
Match 3. Christian vs. Chris Benoit WWF Intercontinental Championship
This was a surprise to me. Benoit kicked out of a pin and locked Christian in the crossface. After arguing with the ref, Christian caught Benoit in a roll-up and a pin battle begun. Benoit locked in the crossface again, but Christian broke free. Christian kicked Benoit in the corner and hit the Unprettier to retain.
Match 4. Eddie Guerrero vs. Booker T vs. Rhyno WCW United States Championship
This match went about 22 minutes. Eddie busted Booker open early with a heel kick. Eddie then landed the Three Amigos. Rhyno picked up where Eddie left off with a German suplex and spine buster. They then brought the action to the outside. Booker hit Eddie with a scissors kick. Rhyno Gored Booker and won the title.
Match 5. Stone Cold vs. DDP
I would have loved to see this match take place. Stone Cold Stunner vs. Diamond Cutter. Page landed a back suplex and some huge right hands. He then hit the Diamond Clash, but Austin kicked out. Austin went for a Stunner, but Page broke away. Page caught Austin in a roll-up, but got a two count. Page ended it with a Diamond Cutter and a three count.
Match 6. Brothers of Destruction vs. The Dudley Boyz WWF Tag Team Championship
Can the Dudleyz hold both WWF and WCW tag titles? Kane hit D-Von with a chokeslam. He later busted him open with a running DDT. All four men were fighting on the outside. Bubba hit Taker with a Dominator and gutwrench powerbomb. The Dudleyz hit the 3D on Taker to win.
Main Event. Big Show vs. Kurt Angle WWF Championship
Angle landed an Angle Slam and then put his feet on the bottom rope for leverage, but Show still kicked out. Show hit Angle with an STO and a back body drop. Angle hit some clotheslines and a neck breaker. Show hit the knockout punch to retain.
Recap: Looks like Edge will be getting another title shot. I like Rhyno as the US champ. It will allow him to break away from Raven and Tazz. The Dudleyz may be the best team in my Universe.
