The initial layout of the card was horrible.
Match 1. Spike Dudley vs. Hurricane vs. Tajiri vs. Kidman Lightweight and Cruiserweight Championships
This is a unification match for the two titles. There were some weapons used early, like a kendo stick and crutch. Helms hit Spike with the Eye of the Hurricane. Kidman was working over Helms on the outside. Spike suplexed Tajiri from the apron through a table set up in the ring. Tajiri got up and hit the Buzzsaw kick to win the titles.
Match 2. Iron Man - Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit
This is going to be a low-scoring, technical match. Benoit scored the first fall with 6:35 left in the match. Angle and Benoit then got into a pinning battle with many nearfalls. After four reversals, Angle tied it up. Angle took the lead with another roll-up. He scored a third point with after German suplex. It was 3-1 with 3:50 left. Angle hit an Angle Slam to go up 4-1. Benoit landed a belly-to-belly and scored his second point. With 30 seconds left, Angle looks like he got this. Benoit got some near falls, but couldn't cut the deficit.
Match 3. Christian vs. RVD WWF Intercontinental Championship
RVD is still the Money in the Bank holder. After a falling neck breaker, Christian busted RVD open with quick rights. RVD was on the top and landed a jumping kick. He then hit the super kick. He then continued and hit the Van Terminator, for the first time. Christian still kicked out and hit two reverse DDTs. After a huge frog splash, Christian retained the title.
Match 4. Booker T vs. Triple H
Booker had Triple H in the corner. He then landed a sunset flip from the second rope and a huge spine buster. After a two count, he hit the scissors kick. Triple H came back with a back elbow and a Pedigree to win.
Match 5. The Dudley Boyz vs. Brothers of Destruction WWF Tag Team Championship
Kane hit Bubba with a chokeslam. After kicking out, Bubba retaliated with the bionic elbow. D-Von came in and they hit Kane with the 3D. Kane busted D-Von open with a running DDT. Kane tagged in Taker, who hit Bubba with the Last Ride and won.
Match 6. Stone Cold vs. Chris Jericho WCW Championship
Austin was in control as he locked Jericho in the Walls. Jericho locked Austin in an octopus stretch. Austin came back with huge right hands, busting Jericho open in the process. Jericho did lock Austin in the Walls of Jericho and won after a neck breaker.
Main Event. Big Show vs. The Rock WWF Championship
Rock kneed the right leg of Big Show and then locked in the Sharpshooter. He went for a Rock Bottom, but Show blocked it. Show busted Rock open with thunderous right hands. He blocked a right hand by Rock and hit the Showstopper to retain the title.
Recap: The IC title match was fantastic. The two main title matches were good, but kind of short.
