August Week 3, Year 1

This month is flying by. SummerSlam is in two weeks and I can kind of see what the card will look like. There are new Superstars debuting.

Raw

Match 1. Kane vs. Eddie Guerrero

Eddie hit Kane with the Three Amigos. A couple of minutes later, Kane landed the chokeslam. Kane continued with a side slam and a back breaker. Eddie got up and landed a hurricanrana and a Gory special. Kane got up and hit the Tombstone to win.

Match 2. Val Venis vs. Test   #1 Contender's Match

After an atomic drop, Test landed a modified Death Valley Driver. Despite getting hit with the steel steps, Val landed a fisherman suplex outside of the ring. They made it back into the ring and exchanged with big moves. Test landed a full nelson slam and won.

Match 3. Christian vs. Billy Gunn

Christian ran towards Gunn, but he reversed it into a tilt-a-whirl slam. Christian got up and hit a swinging neck breaker and a reverse DDT. Christian landed a sunset flip, but Gunn reversed it. Christian reversed it back and got the three count.

Match 4. Submission - Rock vs. Jericho

Sharpshooter vs. Walls of Jericho. This should be good. Rock landed a suplex and a spine buster outside of the ring. Jericho came back and busted Rock open with a DDT. He then landed the triple powerbombs. Jericho locked in the Walls, but Rock broke out. Rock then locked Jericho in the Walls and forced him to tap.

Main Event. Stone Cold vs. Undertaker

Austin was walking down the ramp when Taker attacked him from behind. Taker busted Austin open with a DDT outside of the ring. Austin landed a back suplex and Taker hit his head on the steps. Taker speared Austin through the barricade. Austin recovered and landed the Tombstone on Taker. Awesome. Taker kicked out and hit Austin with a back body drop and won.

After the match, Taker was about to hit Austin with a chair, but Rock ran down and saved Austin.

Saturday Night Heat

Match 1. Test vs. Droz

Test came out of the gate like a bat out of hell. He landed a running clothesline and side slam. Test forced Droz to tap from a bear hug.

Match 2. Val Venis vs. Scotty 2 Hotty

Val speared Scotty through the barricade. Scotty came back and connected with an uppercut. Scotty busted Val open with a drop toe hold. Val recovered and hit a spike piledriver and a tiger suplex to win.

Match 3. Godfather vs. Brian Pillman

The Loose Cannon is here! Pillman locked in an octopus stretch, but Godfather kicked out. British Bulldog ran down and helped out Pillman. Pillman landed a standing heel kick and a springboard clothesline. They battled outside of the ring. Godfather gained the upper hand and hit the Ho Train to win.

Match 4. Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie vs. The Ministry

What?! This match could get...hardcore. All four men were battling outside the ring. Viscera hit Charlie with a spinning side slam. Cactus then busted Viscera open with a DDT. The Ministry kept Cactus away from Charlie with some tag moves. Charlie landed a huge piledriver on Viscera to win.

Main Event. Edge vs. Hardcore Holly

Edge and Holly battled back and forth for a couple of minutes. Edge then gained the upper hand with a Downward Spiral. Matt Hardy ran down and hit Edge with the Twist of Fate. Edge got up and locked Holly in the Edgecator to win.

Recap: Austin hitting the Tombstone was awesome. I had to include a video. The Rock saving Austin was good. The enemy of my enemy is my friend holds true on Raw. Good to see some new stars on Heat. Matt trying to cost Edge the match. Can it lead to Hardys vs. E&C?
